The BETAFPV Micro RF TX module is based on the ExpressLRS project, an open source RC link for RC applications. ExpressLRS aims to achieve the best possible link performance at both speed, latency, and range. This makes ExpressLRS one of the fastest RC links available while offering long-range performance.
A ton of ExpressLRS items are available now!

Lighting diagram
The BETAFPV Micro RF TX module is compatible with a radio transmitter that has a micro module bay (also known as JR / SLIM module bay, for example Frsky Taranis X9D , TBS Mambo).
Note: Mount the antenna before turning it on. Otherwise, the PA chip of the Micro TX module will be permanently damaged.
Note: Do not use 3S or higher to power the TX module through the xt30 port. Otherwise, the power supply chip in the TX module will be permanently damaged.
About Firmware
The official ExpressLRS project on Github Case does not support OLED function at the moment. The BETAFPV team has made a pull request on Github and is waiting for the officer to finish this combination. We will work with the ELRS team and make the official repository support OLED and button function asap.

More about ExpressLRS
ExpressLRS is an open source RC link for RC applications. Anyone could find this project on the Github Foundation, or join the discussion on the Facebook group.
ExpressLRS Lenses are based on Semtech LoraHardware SX127x or SX1280 for RX and TX respectively. Your goal is to achieve the best possible link performance at both speed, latency, and range. At 900 MHz a maximum of 200Hz packet rate is supported. At 2.4 GHz a 500Hz blistering currently supports a custom OpenTX build. This makes ExpressLRS one of the fastest RC links available while offering long-range performance.
More and more sellers start to support ExpressLRS radio protocol in different parts, such as radio transmitter with ELRS in stock, drone with built-in ELRS receiver, ELRS TX module for JR bay ,. Or Nano bay. The BETAFPV team takes part in this project and provides a number of ExpressLRS components.
Button and OLED
The ELRS TX module can be configured through the OpenTX LUA script. With OLED and button, the non-opentx radio controller that supports CRSF could use this Micro ELRS module easily. The following non-opentx radio drivers work well with this TX module. Futaba T16IZ, T16SZ and T18SZ (with update to 3.9e), Wsky ET16, Radiolink AT9S Pro.
There is a 5D button on the micro module. Please pay attention only to the works of virtual dimension and the other four dimensions are not valid. Below is the basic operation of the button and OLED.
Long press:
On screen lock page, long press to unlock and enter menu page.
On the menu page, press and hold to change the value in this row.
Short press:
In the screen lock page, short press invalidly.
On the menu page, short press to move to the next row.
Note: When the TX RF module is entering the menu page, the connection between the TX RF module and the receiver will be lost, the connection will automatically recover after exiting the menu page; You must turn the receiver back on if you have changed the Pkt rate.
Note: When RF TX module enters WIFI update state, the button will be invalid. Power on the RF TX module again after firmware update via WIFI.
Basic configuration
ExpressLRS uses the serial Crossfire protocol (protocol known as CRSF) to communicate between the radio transmitter and the TX module. Make sure your radio transmitter supports the CRSF Serial Protocol. We use the radio transmitter with the OpenTX system to show how to configure the CRSF protocol and the LUA script. To configure this, in the OpenTX system, go into the model settings and in the "Model Settings" tab, turn off the "Internal RF". Then enable "External RF" and select "CRSF" as the protocol.
ExpressLRS uses the OpenTX LUA script to control the TX module, such as binding or configuring. With the LUA script, pilots can check and configure some settings of the Nano RF TX module. For more details, check the Support page.
Save the ELRS.lua writing files on the radio transmitter`s SD card in the scripts / tools folder;
Press and hold the "SYS" button (For RadioMaster T16 or similar radios) or the "Menu" button (For Frsky Taranis X9D or similar radios) to access the Tools menu where you can find the ready-to-run ELRS script with just one click;
The image below shows that the LUA script runs correctly;
Connect and output power
The Micro RF TX module comes with the official major release V1.1.0 protocol and no binding phrase included. Make sure the receiver works in the protocol official major release V1.0.0 ~ v1.1.0. And no binding phrase has been established. The Micro RF TX module can enter the binding state through the ELRS.lua script, as described in the "LUA Script" chapter. Also, using the button and OLED, move to the binding position and hold the button. Then the RF module will enter binding state.
Note: The LED will not blink when entering the binding state. The module will leave the binding state 5 seconds after auto. Short press 3 times consecutively to tie.
The Micro RF TX module can change the output power through the ELRS.lua script, as described in the "LUA Script" chapter. Also, using the button and OLED, it goes to the output position. Long press the button to change the output power.
Note: The RGB LED will not change according to the output power. When the output power is 250mW or higher, the fan will rotate automatically. The Micro RF TX module does not support 1W or 2W output. When you change to this value, the system will automatically move to 500mW.
